Manchester Care and Repair aims to be an equal opportunities employer

Volunteers are vital members of Manchester Care & Repair.

We believe their contributions complement the skills and expertise of our staff. Volunteers bring the knowledge, qualities and experience that are essential in meeting our goals. Volunteers often speak of the sense of satisfaction their volunteering brings, seeing how the work they do contributes directly to improving the well-being of others and the communities they live in. In turn we recognise the ways in which volunteers benefit our organisation. The blend of purpose and learning results in making a difference.

  • We are actively recruiting volunteer handypersons to supplement our HandyHelp service. Click here for more information.
  • We have volunteers promoting our services, by leaving leaflets in the community venues used by older people.
  • We have customer involvement volunteers who give feedback on our services.
  • …and more! We welcome your suggestions.

If you think you have the skills that might be useful to Care and Repair we would be pleased to hear from you. We can arrange for volunteers to carry out tasks alongside staff. To contact our Volunteer Co-ordinator, please call 0161 874 1659 or use the enquiry form at the bottom of this page.
